Howard W. Lutnick

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Howard W. Lutnick is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BGC Partners, Inc., a leading provider of voice and electronic brokerage services in the global marketplace. He is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P., one of the world’s leading financial services firms.

Under Mr. Lutnick’s leadership, BGC Partners separated from Cantor Fitzgerald in 2004.  Since that time, BGC has become one of the largest and fastest growing inter-dealer brokers of financial instruments for the global capital markets.  BGC serves the world’s largest banks and investment banks in trading credit, rates, foreign exchange, and an array of other financial products.

Several innovative businesses and technologies have been developed under Mr. Lutnick’s stewardship, including eSpeed, a leading electronic marketplace and trading technology platform for the world's capital markets. Mr. Lutnick served as Chairman, President and CEO of eSpeed, Inc., which spun off from Cantor in an initial public offering in 1999 and merged with BGC in 2008 to form BGC Partners, Inc.

Mr. Lutnick guided the rebuilding of Cantor following the devastating September 11, 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 658 of the company’s 960 New York-based employees.  Since then, Cantor has provided over $180 million to help the families of the firm’s lost colleagues.  Each September 11th, BGC’s and Cantor’s global revenues are donated to charitable causes, commemorating their employees who perished that day by helping others.

Mr. Lutnick graduated from Haverford College in 1983 with a degree in economics and joined Cantor Fitzgerald the same year. He was named President and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald in 1991 and Chairman in 1996.

He is a member of the boards of Haverford College, the Zachary and Elizabeth M. Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research at Rockefeller University, Intrepid Museum Foundation, National September 11 Memorial & Museum, and the Solomon Guggenheim Museum Foundation. Mr. Lutnick received the Department of the Navy’s Distinguished Public Service Award, the highest honor granted by the Navy to non-military personnel.

Lee M. Amaitis

Vice Chairman

As Vice Chairman of BGC Partners, Inc., Lee M. Amaitis focuses on acquisitions, corporate development, key broker hires, and other strategic initiatives. Mr. Amaitis previously served as Co-Chief Executive of the Company.

Formerly a senior executive of Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed, he has had significant experience building financial businesses. Mr. Amaitis played a key role in the recovery of Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed after the devastation on September 11, 2001 and in the re-building of its voice brokerage business, which became BGC and was separated from Cantor Fitzgerald in 2004.

After nearly two decades in the fixed income market, Mr. Amaitis joined Cantor Fitzgerald in New York in 1995 as Senior Managing Director and moved to London in 1996 to oversee European operations. He drove the rapid and successful expansion of Cantor Fitzgerald International into a wide range of businesses - among them interest rate derivatives, cross currency trading and basis trading. He also secured the firm's membership in a variety of exchanges and clearing houses, all aimed at providing a better service to the marketplace.

When Cantor Fitzgerald spun off its trading technology company, eSpeed, in an initial public offering in December 1999, Mr. Amaitis became Executive Managing Director of eSpeed's international operations. Mr. Amaitis served as eSpeed's Vice Chairman, until its merger with BGC Partners in 2008.

Mr. Amaitis is a strong supporter of various charities around the world and is actively involved with a number of fund raising events. He has focused his energies on raising money for, and awareness of, children’s charities for disabled and disadvantaged children.

In the UK, Mr. Amaitis is a Trustee on the Board of the St. Paul’s Cathedral Foundation, a charity that raises funds for, and make grants to, the Cathedral for its maintenance, restoration, repair and conservation and the furtherance of its educational and musical work.

In the United States, he is on the board of the Boomer Esiason Foundation, a charity devoted to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis, and has involved the Wall Street community in the Foundation's fund raising events. Mr. Amaitis is also an ambassador for The Shane Warne Foundation in Australia, which distributes monies to a number of registered charities worldwide.

Shaun D. Lynn

President

As President of BGC Partners, Shaun D. Lynn provides leadership to position BGC at the forefront of the global inter-dealer brokerage sector. He is responsible with his management team for the Company’s operations globally and for the direction and development of BGC’s proprietary technology.

Mr. Lynn, who sparked the idea of creating BGC as a separate business from Cantor Fitzgerald and became one of BGC’s co-founders in October 2004, has spearheaded the broking operations of the Company globally and has played an integral role in the Company’s significant growth since then, including its 2008 merger with eSpeed, Inc. In addition to his executive responsibility for ensuring that the Company provides services of the highest quality to its customers, Mr. Lynn oversees the Company’s corporate functions including finance, risk management, technology, legal & compliance, human resources, and communications. An experienced and authoritative financial professional, Mr. Lynn promotes BGC's thought leadership as a preeminent global inter-dealer broker to wholesale market participants worldwide.  Reflecting BGC's commitment to help people in communities around the world, Mr. Lynn plays a leading role in the Company's annual Charity Day, in which its revenues are donated to dozens of worthy causes worldwide.
 
Prior to his position with BGC, Mr. Lynn previously served as Executive Managing Director of Cantor Fitzgerald International, where he held management positions of increasing responsibility including leading its Eurobond desk after joining that firm in 1989 as a Bund broker.  Earlier roles in the capital markets included serving as a UK equity dealer with Paul E Schweder Miller & Co. and as Associate Director in charge of broking at Purcell Graham Incorporated.

Stephen Merkel

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Stephen Merkel is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of BGC Partners, Inc. He originally joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 1993, overseeing all legal and compliance functions for the firm.

Prior to its merger with BGC, Mr. Merkel was also a Director of eSpeed, and before this was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of eSpeed from June 1999. Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Mr. Merkel was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Goldman Sachs & Co., dedicated to the J. Aron Division. He began his career at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison.

Mr. Merkel graduated with a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received his law degree from the University of Michigan School of Law.

Sean Windeatt

Chief Operating Officer

Sean Windeatt is responsible for BGC’s global front office business operations.

Mr. Windeatt has over a decade of experience in financial markets and has been responsible for business management at BGC since 2001. He began his career in the financial markets at United Assurance which was followed by a move to Cantor Fitzgerald in 1997 where he held various positions in financial management. After the events of 11th September 2001, he was transferred to the front office, reporting to Shaun Lynn and engaging in the process of helping to rebuild the business. More recently, Mr. Windeatt has been a key member of the management team for Europe and Asia in helping to rapidly grow the business organically and through acquisition and now oversees global front office business operations.

Graham Sadler

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Sadler is responsible for BGC’s global accounting, controlling and treasury functions, including all financial reporting and budgeting.

Since December 2008, he has served as CFO for Europe and Asia for both BGC and Cantor Fitzgerald.  In his new role, he will also continue to serve as CFO for Europe and Asia for Cantor Fitzgerald.

Prior to BGC, Mr. Sadler spent 11 years with Bear Stearns, where he served most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Bear Stearns-Europe in addition to other management roles.  He also was a member of that firm’s European Executive Committee.  Earlier, he served in a number of finance positions over a 14-year span with Barclays Capital (and its predecessor DeZoete & Bevan), including Director of Global Finance and Divisional Director, Markets Division.  He began his career with KPMG (previously Peat Marwick Mitchell).  Mr. Sadler is a Chartered Accountant in the UK, and holds a degree in Engineering from Cambridge University.

Graham Sadler

Tony Verrier

Executive Managing Director and General Manager, London and Europe

Tony Verrier joined BGC in 2009. He is responsible for all of BGC's operations in Europe, which includes expanding BGC's exisiting broking business into other product areas.

Mr. Verrier's career in the inter-dealer broking market began at M W Marshall in 1987, following seven years as a trader with Lombard North Central. In 1991 he was given responsibility for all Stering products and from 1994 for all currencies, followed by a promotion in 1996 which placed him in charge of the broking floor at M W Marshall.

In 1999 Prebon Yamane merged with M W Marshall and Mr. Verrier was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Prebon Marshall Yamane’s businesses in EMEA.  In 2002 Mr. Verrier assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer for the EMEA region.

Following the acquisition of the Prebon Group by Collins-Stewart in October 2004, Mr. Verrier was appointed Chief Executive Officer, EMEA for the inter-dealer businesses of Prebon and Tullett, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer for the global business of Tullett Prebon plc.

Mark Webster

Executive Managing Director and General Manager, The Americas

Mark Webster is responsible for BGC's brokerage businesses in the Americas. Previously Mr. Webster held a similar role in Asia Pacific, as general manager for the region. Under Mr. Webster's leadership, the business doubled the number of brokers among its existing operations in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.

Mr. Webster has 24 years of capital markets experience in broking and management. He joined BGC in late 2004 from ICAP, where he was CEO for Asia Pacific and Middle East, based in Sydney.

Len Harvey

Executive Managing Director and General Manager, Asia-Pacific

Len Harvey joined BGC Partners in 2008 and is responsible for overseeing the brokerage businesses in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Harvey's career in the financial markets has spanned over 35 years, beginning as a trader at Foreign and Colonial Investment in London. From there he joined Prebon International in London as a broker for Inter Bank and Local Government. In 1985 Mr Harvey was appointed Director of Yen Swap Broking in Capital Market and Treasury Services for Prebon in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining BGC, Mr Harvey was Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific at Prebon Asia and was responsible for the expansion of the business into Manila, Bangkok, India and Jakarta. In 2004 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific of the newly merged companies, Tullett and Prebon.

Len Harvey

Philip Norton

Executive Managing Director, e-Commerce

Philip Norton is responsible for making BGC's services accessible to customers all over the world, whilst developing the e-Commerce team to meet the needs of our growing business.

Mr. Norton joined BGC in May 2004. His key role is to ensure BGC's clients and brokers have access to the best technical expertise and support within the global financial marketplace.

He began his career in financial markets in 1984, trading Eurobonds for Smith Barney, Harris Upham, followed by 11 years at Cantor Fitzgerald, managing businesses that broker European Government Bonds. His next move was to Head of Sales for eSpeed International in London, where he oversaw the introduction of eSpeed to the European financial markets.

In 1999 he became Global Head of Sales at eSpeed, where he drove the sales effort for eSpeed's Software Solutions and eSpeed's online initiatives and added new products to the eSpeed electronic trading platform.

Yevette Tierney

Chief Information Officer

Yevette Tierney is Chief Information Officer of BGC Partners, Inc. In this role she is responsible for product development and infrastructure management of BGC’s suite of broking technology products and systems.

Prior to BGC Ms. Tierney was Chief Information Officer of eSpeed, having joined the company in February 2007. Upon the merger of eSpeed with BGC, in April 2008, she joined the management team of BGC Partners, Inc.

Ms. Tierney previously held global product development, infrastructure, client service and operations management positions at Bloomberg, reporting directly to the CEO. She was responsible for software development of systems, applications, and the technology platform of Bloomberg television, radio, and multi-media services. Ms. Tierney received a B. Eng. degree in electrical engineering and a master’s in information systems from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Robin Clark

Executive Managing Director

In his role as Executive Managing Director, Robin Clark is responsible for interest rate products in the UK, Europe and North America.

He is heavily involved in the expansion of various product areas including interest rate swaps, interest rate options, inflation swaps and cross currency swaps.

Mr. Clark joined Harlow Ueda Savage (which became Euro Brokers Ltd) in 1986, where he rose quickly through the ranks to become manager. After a five year spell between 1989 and 1994 at Marshalls where he rose to Director of the interest rate division, Mr. Clark returned to Euro Brokers in 1994 as Managing Director of Euro Brokers Finacor and became CEO of Euro Brokers and a Director of Maxcor, the NASDAQ listed company, taking on responsibility for the running of all operations in Europe and Asia. He also sat on the board for Euro Brokers' parent company, Maxcor Financial.

In May 2005, he was instrumental in the successful merger of Euro Brokers into BGC, which created one of the largest and fastest expanding inter-dealer brokers in the world.

Rob Kitchin

Senior Managing Director and Head of Credit and Commodities

Rob Kitchin is responsible for all credit and commodity products in London, a position he has held since 2009. Mr Kitchin began his broking career at Cantor Fitzgerald in 1994, broking cash credit bonds, before assuming responsibility for running credit repo in London for the ensuing 12 years.

In 2006, Mr Kitchin was promoted to Managing Director of Business Development. Some key highlights of this role included managing the integration of some of BGC Partners most high profile and strategically important acquisitions:

• ETC Pollak and Aurel in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Aurel BGC is the French investment company created from the merger of both these companies 

• Eurobrokers, a leading inter-dealer broker specialising in money market, derivative and other securities products in May 2005. As well as significantly enhancing BGC’s presence in New York, this acquisition also led to the addition of over 150 brokers joining in London, Nyon and Mexico City

• Radix Energy in March 2008 through a subsidiary, BGC Radix Energy L.P. Singapore. The acquisition marked an important step in BGC’s expansion through its ability to offer clients voice and electronic brokerage services in the world’s energy markets, for the first time. BGC Radix Energy serves clients on a global basis and is based in Singapore

Rob Kitchin

Daniel M. LaVecchia

Executive Managing Director, North America, Global Head of FX Products

Daniel LaVecchia oversees all of BGC's operations in North America and global foreign exchange products. Along with Lee Amaitis, Vice Chairman, and Shaun Lynn, President, Mr. LaVecchia is responsible for leading the expansion of BGC as a global wholesale fixed-income, interest rate, foreign exchange, and derivative brokerage firm.

Prior to his appointment as Executive Managing Director, North America for BGC, Mr. LaVecchia was Executive Managing Director, Director U.S. Operations for eSpeed, the leading provider of electronic trading technology for the global capital markets. This role entailed responsibility for all of the North American front-office, revenue generating operations.

Mr. LaVecchia has worked for Cantor Fitzgerald and its related businesses for over 15 years, including as Executive Managing Director for Cantor's international operations. Prior to this he was responsible for Cantor Fitzgerald's derivative and foreign exchange businesses in Europe and Asia and served as the liaison between Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed.

Mr. LaVecchia is a supporter of numerous local charities in New York, including the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, which works to help end domestic violence against children in their own homes, the Boomer Esiason Foundation, a charity devoted to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis, the Derek Jeter Turn 2 Foundation, which promotes healthy lifestyles amongst youth, and the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides rehabilitation and support to severely injured service men and women.

Keith E. Reihl

Chief Operating Officer, North America

Keith E. Reihl became Chief Operating Officer in May 2005, following the merger of BGC Partners and Maxcor Financial Group, parent company of Euro Brokers.

Mr. Reihl served as Senior Audit Manager at Price Waterhouse LLP before serving as a Chief Financial Officer at Maxcor from 1983 to 1997, when he joined the board of directors at Euro Brokers. He was appointed CFO and Treasurer from August 1997 through November 1998 and Chief Operating Officer from November 2001 prior to the merger.

Mr. Reihl is a certified public accountant and received his B.A. degree in accounting from Elizabethtown College in 1974.

Roger C. Campbell

Chief Administrative Officer, North America

As Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Campbell has oversight for day to day operations and back office functions for BGC's business in New York City.

Mr. Campbell joined BGC in January 2005, when he managed the merger, integration and re-branding of Maxcor Financial Group and its subsidiary divisions, which more than doubled the size of BGC's business in New York. He is the regulatory principal for all securities and futures products in New York.

Mr. Campbell's 25 years’ experience in the inter-dealer fixed income broking market includes management and production. Prior to joining BGC, Mr. Campbell was the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of ICAP from 1989 to 2005. Mr. Campbell’s previous experience was as a Government Bond Broker for Garban from 1983 to 1989.

Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Holy Cross College and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School.

Mr. Campbell is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity that seeks to assist those men and women in the armed forces who have been severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations around the world. At BGC Mr. Campbell is responsible for overall planning and coordination of BGC's annual Charity Day in New York, held every year on September 11.

Salvatore Trani

Executive Managing Director

Sal Trani, a seasoned veteran, has had a long, distinguished and influential career on Wall Street which includes over 40 years of experience in the inter-dealer brokerage business and is responsible for credit products in the US for BGC.

Over the span of his career, Mr. Trani has played a leading role in the development and subsequent globalization of the inter-dealer brokerage business, from its early beginnings in voice brokerage through to screen based trading and ultimately to the internet.

Mr. Trani formerly served as Chairman of the Specialty Firms Committee of the New York Stock Exchange, Inc. and Chairman of the Corporate Bond Division of the Bond Market Association. A prominent figure in community affairs, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of New York University Hospital as well as a member of the Board of the New York City Police and Firefighters Widows and Orphans Fund. He is also a member of the Cardinal's Committee of the Laity.

Mr. Trani holds both a BS and an MBA from New York University.

Jean-Pierre Aubin

Executive Managing Director and Global Head Listed Products

In his role as Executive Managing Director, Jean-Pierre Aubin is responsible for listed products and primary structured products globally.

Mr. Aubin began his broking career with Viel-Tradition Group in 1990. After trading futures and options for ten years between London and Paris, he was promoted to run the company's continental European operations, including Finacor Group and listed products worldwide before he joined BGC in 2005. Mr Aubin was instrumental in BGC’s rapid expansion in Continental Europe, including the acquisitions of ETC Pollak in 2005 and Aurel in 2006.

In 2008 Mr. Aubin moved to BGC's New York office as Global Head of Listed Products, with a responsibility to further develop BGC's voice and electronic broking services in listed products including equity derivatives, cash equity, futures and options on futures, and primary structured products.

Bernie Weinstein

Executive Managing Director and Director of BGCantor Market Data

Bernard A. Weinstein is an Executive Managing Director at BGC Partners, Inc, a position he also held within Cantor Fitzgerald prior to the merger of eSpeed and BGC Partners. In this role he is responsible for BGCantor Market Data, a business of BGC Partners, Inc. and provider of real-time fixed income pricing and data.

Mr. Weinstein is also responsible for the expansion and development of software solutions for eSpeed, one of BGC’s electronic broking brands, an electronic marketplace and trading technology provider for the world's capital markets. As such, he develops strategies to leverage BGC’s global technology infrastructure, portfolio of intellectual property and electronic trading expertise to allow customers to build electronic marketplaces and exchanges, enable real-time auctions, enhance debt issuance and customize trading interfaces.

Before joining Cantor Fitzgerald, he was the founder, president and chief executive officer of ILX Systems, a subsidiary of the Thomson Corporation. He also managed a major division of Thomson Financial as president of the Sales and Trading Group.

Prior to founding ILX, he was chief information officer of E.F. Hutton with responsibility for global information systems and telecommunications. In addition, he was founder and chief executive officer of International Brokerage Information Systems, Inc. (IBIS), a subsidiary of the E.F. Hutton Group that provided information systems and services to the financial industry. He has also served as chairman of the SIA (Securities Industry Association) Information Management Committee and on the Advisory Board of SECTOR (Securities Industry Telecommunications Organization).

Mr. Weinstein received his bachelor of arts in philosophy from Columbia College in New York and his master’s in business administration in finance from New York University's Stern Graduate School of Business Administration.
He was the first recipient of the Market Data Lifetime Achievement Award which was presented by the Software and Information Industry Association at the World Financial Information Conference.

Mr. Weinstein has served as a director on the board of the New York Road Runners Foundation, which supports running programs for inner-city school children. An avid athlete, he has completed the New York City Marathon several times and the Westchester Triathlon.

Mark Spring

Executive Managing Director, Asia

Mark Spring joined BGC Partners in 2004 and is, alongside Len Harvey, responsible for the brokerage businesses in the Asia region.

Mr. Spring has been engaged in inter-dealer broking for over 18 years, attaining the position of Deputy CEO, Asia Pacific for Prebon Yamane in 2000. His experience of working in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore gives him an in-depth understanding of the unique aspects of countries within the region.

Jérôme Frank

Senior Managing Director, France

Jérôme Frank is responsible for BGC's activities in France, including the expansion of all products within the region.

Jérôme Frank is responsible for BGC's activities in France, including the expansion of all products within the region. Mr. Frank began his financial career with Merrill Lynch where he spent 12 years, culminating in his appointment as Managing Director of the Paris institutional office. Subsequently, he was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns for two years. After this, he was a Managing Director at BNP Paribas for two years. In 1996, as Managing Partner, Mr. Frank started Aurel and joined the BGC group when Aurel was acquired by it in 2006.
