BGC’s rapid expansion in Europe has included the acquisition of two Parisian businesses: ETC Pollak in 2005 and Aurel in 2006. These acquisitions make BGC the leading non-bank affiliated inter-dealer broker within the French market. They also mark our entry into the growing European equity market.
BGC/ETC Pollak
ETC Pollak, a major French inter-dealer broker, has a long and distinguished history. ETC was founded back in 1924 and the company took its current form after a merger in 2003. ETC Pollak was acquired by BGC in October 2005 and continues to operate under the ETC Pollak name.
The Paris office specialises in futures, derivatives and bonds. ETC Pollak is a member of Eurex, Euronext and Euronext Liffe.
