BGC PARTNERS GLOBALLY RAISES IN EXCESS OF $10 MILLION ON SIXTH ANNUAL CHARITY DAY

London, New York, (September 14, 2010)- BGC Partners, Inc. (Nasdaq: BGCP), one of the world’s leading inter-dealer brokers, announced that the Company and its affiliates globally raised in excess of $10 million for charity on its sixth annual Charity Day held on Monday, September 13, 2010. Every year on September 11, BGC donates its global revenues to charity in commemoration of those lost in the World Trade Center attacks.

In London, personalities including Jonathan Ross, Penny Lancaster, Boris Johnson, Nicola Roberts, David Coulthard, Honor Blackman, Johnny Vaughan, Lisa Snowden, Gordon Ramsay and Amanda Holden joined brokers to conduct transactions with BGC’s clients.

In New York, celebrity guests included athletes Eli Manning, Boomer Esiason, Amar’e Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, Ike Davis, Sean Avery, Rod Gilbert, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, actors Steve Buscemi, Hillary Duff, Mark Ruffalo, Edie Falco, Lorraine Bracco, Tony Sirico, and Jamie Lynn Sigler, Miss USA Rima Fakih, television anchors Liz Claman, Megyn Kelly, and many others.

Elsewhere around the world BGC was joined by a number of celebrities in many of its global offices including Paris, Singapore and Sydney.

Revenues from the day will be donated to approximately 75 charities around the world.
