This years first ever ‘Modern Masters Dinner’ in association with The Shane Warne Foundation and sponsored by BGC Partners, saw the coming together of some of the worlds finest cricketing legends, past and present, including Shane Warne, Brian Lara and Andrew Flintoff.
Hosted by Mark Nicholas, ex England International and current Channel 4 cricketing commentator, the evening took place in the magnificent Guillaume at Bennelong restaurant, within the Sydney Opera House.
All proceeds from the evening went to supporting The Shane Warne Foundation and the charities it supports in Australia, including, Challenge Kids with Cancer, The Make a Wish Foundation and the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital.
The event included replays from famous cricketing events; photo shoots with the stars, words from Shane Warne and Brian Lara, plus an auction raising thousands of pounds.
BGC were proud sponsors of the event and would like to thank TSWF for inviting us to participate and extend our support towards such a worthwhile evening. BGC has continued to support TSWF since the Chairman, Shane Warne, visited BGC’s London offices on the eve of the Oval Test match in September, a day in which BGC remembered it friends, colleagues and staff who were the victims of 9-11.
